playing his cards

Craig had more than just Valentines day to celebrate with Sarah.

He'd landed a job at the bank where Sarah worked. Finally, he wasn't a freeloader. Not that he exactly was at Sarah's place. He did pay his share. Yet they were more than roommates now. He was still in the good graces of her parents, for some reason..which he couldn't quite comprehend.

"They're a giddy bunch, aren't they?" Yet again they'd spent Sunday brunch with them. It seemed all he did these days was spend time with family. Mostly Sarah's. He did his best to let Todd alone. He supposed his brother knew what he was doing. Although, he hoped Todd just wasn't a grand actor and terribly sad on the inside. If anyone could make you go mad..well, he thought it might be Lucy. But he wouldn't dare say a bad word about her in front of Sarah.

He could see she thought a lot of her. No, he wasn't here to cause trouble. Seriously, he had some other plan. And it had to be all locked in place. Meeting a girl who worked at a bank. Getting himself situated into the bank.

Really, he wasn't your average bank robber. He didn't use guns and mysterious notes to get a bag of money. No, there were other ways. And hopefully, if all worked its self out, he might be a happy rich man. Some day.

But until then, well, he'd use his charm to be a part of Sarah's happy family. It was true. Sarah hadn't seen this much of her family in a very long time. Now, he hoped he didn't forget why he was here in the first place.
