"What do you mean, neither of them are coming?" Casey looked at Benny as if he were the worst body guard ever. He was supposed to get Spencer and Todd here for the interview.
Casey wasn't sure how to react. Soon enough, he told the reporter to ask away.
Nina keeps going on, how most of her interviews are by e-mail. She is really shocked to have all of them sitting there at the club. They are getting ready for a Holiday concert. She snaps shots of them with her digital camera. Casey clowns around in a Santa hat. He's quite silly. Hanging all over Cory as if they might be the best friends in the world.
Casey tells her most of the covers will be holiday songs. Not Christmas carols. "We don't want to be sac-religious or anything." He talks up a storm how they like to put in their own beat. "I love the Waitress' Christmas Wrapping!" So he hands it over to Benny to talk about being a drummer in the band. Naturally, he says about three words. He has the personality of a wooden plank. This really kills Casey's irresistible smile.
Casey shakes his head. This is going so badly. How could it get any worse?
"Cory, can you talk? Really talk about the band?" Cory is his only hope, he's thinking now. Of course, there is Ali who is sitting there as if she is with Cory and no one else. Casey keeps staring at her. And then it hits him. Its like a bomb went off in his head.
He thinks he might be sick. He remembers being with her now. And he feels a bit wobbly and uncertain just why she is here now and what she might try to do to him. She might even hate him. Casey can't talk. He goes to the bathroom, afraid he might puke his guts out, but instead its the worst fart ever.
