"Really, I'm  not trying to stop the adoption or anything." Sage stated as if this wasn't why she was here. She'd only wanted to find out more about Trevor.

"I'm glad you two have decided to do this." Someone had to take responsibility for the baby. She wasn't quite sure she was meant to be a mother, just yet. Keith had the finances for it. She could see he was excited even if he were a little apprehensive about Trevor.

He made it sound that Trevor would be in jail for a very long time. However, Sage hoped it wouldn't turn out that way. Maybe things would turn around. Maybe if she could help, she would some how.

"But he's going to be in juvie a long while." Keith was sure of it. "Long after this baby comes along."

Sage didn't want to make an issue of it. Maybe he was right. She supposed he did have to serve his time. Yet, he wasn't a killer. He didn't hurt anyone, and all the things he'd stolen were recovered. Something had to be said for that.

Although, she was certain, no one trusted Trevor. Could she even trust him?

At first, she wanted to mention that she wanted to go with them when they decided to see him, but now Sage felt certain that she should go alone. She needed to see her brother. They needed to talk. She needed to be there for him. Sage was certain no one else would be.
