old dogs and new tricks

Keith hated to make it sound like a horror story, but this Bucky was bad news.

"What if he ..I dunno..wipes you out, completely of your savings." Keith couldn't help but bring this up to his little brother. They were, after all at Keith's, who hoped he wouldn't bring so much gloom on their brunch, of sunny side eggs and a pile of hash browns. They were alone. Benny thought they needed this time to sort this Bucky business out.

"Look, Bucky hasn't even left the house." Spencer looked at him bright eyed as if he didn't think Bucky was capable of such nonsense.

"Precisely." Keith reminded him that Bucky hadn't found a job yet. "He needs to go."

"But how?" Was his little brother actually being reasonable? Thank god, someone had woke up and smelled the coffee. That creep couldn't be that good in bed, thought Keith.

"I don't know, exactly." Keith looked his brother in the eye. "We'll think of something. Maybe..maybe there is a warrant out for his arrest." There had to be something. Keith sighed as if he'd have to handle it. They needed to get his brother out of this mess before it got any worse.

"I don't want to make him mad at me." Spencer looked so sad, as if maybe Bucky was his only friend. "I don't want to be alone, but I don't want to be taken for granted, either."

"Yeah, I get that. But..we both know, you deserve better than an out of work bartender with an out of whack back." Keith explained with a touch on Spencer's arm.

"It might be my fault about his back." Spencer bit his bottom lip in thought as if he might be the worst lover in the world.

"Too much information, kid." Keith sighed as he got up to warm Spencer's coffee.

"But I think I love him," Spencer confessed a bit misty eyed even if he were in one of Keith's favorite black button down shirts. He was having to supply Spencer's wardrobe these days. Bucky was eating him out of house and home.

"No, no..that can't be true." Keith shook his head.

"I know, he's..he's really rotten, about so many things, but I'm all he's got," Spencer said so woeful.

Keith knew Bucky wasn't an old dog they could put down, but finding Spencer someone new to play with, just might do the trick.
