Kick it

Casey just gave a sly grin to the crowd as he turned up the amp. Seriously, they didn't play to crowds like this. Generally, it was just the crowd of teenagers down at the Junction, which was an old community center gone viral, perhaps. They played in the gym there with a sucky sound system. Still once the mosh pit got going, anything could happen.

Cory fell in with the electric and Casey started on a song, old school from A tribe called quest, but he upped in a notch with the help of Benny who played the beat religiously. As if the music alone had set him on fire. It was enough to keep Casey going. He could feel the rhythm pulsing through it and before he knew it, he was screaming the music.

It was a bit frightening and yet exhilarating at the same time. He could see the crowd giving him the fist. That was a good sign, wasn't it? People jumping to the music. Casey purged on as if they needed this. Every damn word he could make up on the spot.

Naturally, Cory was giving him a slight wince, but he played on as if he was following Casey's lead.

Casey just smiled as if he might pass out from the excitement. But he kept going because Benny was determined to get them through the set. It was crunch time. Time to kick it.
