a pretty boy in his underwear

Casey was left with Benny to pick up the pieces. He didn't want to, but he knew he had too. Seriously, they hadn't talked in some time, but they'd always been friends. Long before Benny got work at the comic-book shop. They'd gone to school together and he knew how Benny felt about a lot of things. He could come off like a jerk, most of the time, but deep down he was the sensitive sort. Everything tugged at his heart. And he knew what hurt worst was what Spencer had done to him the most. Not Ka-Rad.

They went back to Casey's and he dug through the fridge for some beers. He opened one, but Benny wouldn't drink it. Casey took a drink of his own and gave Benny a stare.

"All right." Casey almost rolled his eyes as he stripped off his shirt. Jeans too. No telling how long this might take or where it might go. Casey sat down at the dining table and took another drink of beer. He turned his back to Benny as he opened up his case of  fine tipped ink pens and looked over them as if he needed to think where to start first.

Casey could feel Benny's eyes peer at him as his fingers traced over his back like a canvass. It always made Casey a little nervous at first. But then it soon felt good to be a part of it. The way the lines traced over him, the colors blend. Of course, Casey wanted to light a cigarette so bad, but he'd wait. He'd have to wait until Benny was finished. At least this was a way Benny could get his mind off things. His past. His future.

Casey remembered the first time Benny drew on him. It was when his Uncle found out he had Aids. Benny was so upset. He kept saying how he never wanted to be like that, but he feared the worst. Casey told him he wouldn't be that way. He'd never put himself out there, for just anyone. Benny wasn't his uncle. So Benny had drawn dragons on Casey's back. Dragons in love, in fact. The tattoo lasted quite a while. Little by little it wore off.

"Just do a sleeve." Casey then said. "I want it to show."

Benny took his arm then. Traced his finger down. He went back to his fine pens then and started doodling at the top of his shoulder.

It's cool he lets him do that, a good way to relax a little.
