Todd went back once. To Spencer's. Just to see the room. Spencer was at the University.
He thought it would take his breath away. But there was no sign of anyone new. And it made him happy yet sad, at once. It was true. He didn't want there to be anyone new. Honestly, he didn't. And yet, it pained him to think of Spencer all alone.
Benny said Spencer had his brother now, but that could only take you so far. Especially, if he were anything like his own. Although, things were better than expected with Craig these days. Todd supposed he had more family now than he ever realized.
There was the baby to think about. But sometimes, he wanted to go running back to Spencer. If only, he'd give him a sign. A sighting perhaps. Even a phone call could change everything. Only Spencer never did.
Todd just didn't understand it.
Then it happened one day. He saw Spencer at the deli. I was such odd timing. It looked as if it could storm out, and there was Spencer talking to this guy at the deli. Todd had to stop and watch. Possibly spying as he peaked around the corner. Who was that guy?
Todd stayed hidden behind the cans of soup on sale. He just couldn't believe it. Spencer and someone else. Someone, a lot like himself. What was he doing? Was that what he was trying to do? Find someone who looked like Todd?
Well, now he was disgusted, he thought. Spencer trying to replace him with someone who looked enough to be his brother. Todd squinted hard. It was so much to take in. He thought he might have a heart failure from the revelation. A part of him was glad Spencer wasn't completely over him, but this didn't look good, either.
