"I have no idea what you mean." Craig kept a steady eye on his brother. "What are you saying? Its my fault!" He couldn't help but be a little irate with his brother, when all along it was true..he just couldn't let his brother know.
They were still at the hospital with Lucy. One would have thought the baby was in danger by the anger in Todd's voice.
"She's just crazy," Craig sighed. Couldn't they leave it at that. They hadn't hurt her. She'd told them nothing. They had no idea where he was. And besides, he was getting the gangster his money. It would just take some time. "Probably made the whole fuck'n thing up."
Little by little he'd been friendly with Sarah. It was good than better now with her. She really did think he cared about her, and maybe he did. Still, he'd gotten the information from her. And she didn't even know it. He had her bank id and password now. All she'd done was show him how they did their work now. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. He would get these people their money. They needn't be so damn fierce.
Finally, Craig simmered down. Gave Todd a hug. He promised he didn't mean to be so angry, but after all Todd was with a crazy person.
"It'll be good as new. You'll see." He even offered to clean the place up. See if they'd left him any clues. But he doubt they did. These sort of people slipped in and slipped out under the radar.
A sly smile edged Craig's tense face. They still didn't know where he was. And he liked that. Craig intended to keep it that way.
