Was that the sun he felt? What was the sun? Gage felt himself falling, and there he was, in bed. He blinked. It was a bit of blur. At first. He felt lost. Unsure. And he couldn't speak, exactly. Perhaps, his tongue were to thick in his mouth. But he'd landed somewhere. Evidently
Of course, he couldn't think where he was before. It was a deep sleep. He felt his eyes flutter, to suck him back under, into slumber. But he fought it. Like fighting for air, and he came back. This time, looking at his surroundings. He felt himself shaking with excitement, and yet he couldn't move.
He breathed air. Was it true. He was breathing. He sighed. It wasn't long until nurses surrounded him. Someone checked his eyes, his pulse. He watched a bit terrified. What did they want with him?
As it was, he couldn't go anywhere. His ribs were bandaged and he knew he was broken. Not just his legs or his arms. But maybe in the head too. He felt a little sad because he knew no one here. He just wanted to know, someone.

I feel for him. So hope he'll be himself again.
Oh that sounds like such an awful experience :(
What a trying time!
I feel really happy that he's out of the coma..but it sounds like a long way from recovery.
Hope Gage recovers OK.
I love the way that you also include gage's view, it really makes people get into what happened. I really hope that Gage is okay ):
