forgetting the pain

Sage put on a good act. It felt like her last act. Once she was alone she sobbed into the fresh pillow for sometime. Cory had a girlfriend. And she was fat.

Somehow, she loved Cory even more, knowing this fact. Cory and a fat girl.

He was the best. She knew that now. She'd never meet anyone better than Cory, and they couldn't even be friends now...because of Ali.

Sage sensed it too. Ali hated her. Plain and simple. Sage wished it wasn't that way. In spite of everything, Sage really did respect Ali, and she actually liked her. But, she guessed Ali didn't need to know that. It didn't matter. She was suppose to act as if Cory wasn't there. She would try, even if she thought she needed him more than she ever did.

He was easy to talk too. She missed their conversations.

Sage choked up more. Well, at least she didn't have to tell anyone about Mitch. It was best to forget it. He probably had. Except for the eye. Maybe he did remember. She shook with anger more than fear. What was she supposed to do? Let him do what he wanted with her? She'd always been a fighter. After all, she wanted to be the one to decide who her first time would be with, not some drunk idiot who thought he was Gods gift to rock'n roll and his groupies.

She never liked Mitch's music, anyway. She guessed she was at the right place at the wrong time. It would get better. It would have too. Sage hoped. Sage hoped the job worked out at the grocery store. Spencer and Gage seemed nice. Now if she only had a door to her room. That was the first thing she needed to take care of.

I do feel for Sage. So alone. I don't think she's bad.

Hopefully Sage will show people this side of her personality - it may win her friends! :)

I remember those kids I once had in my class, the outcasts.
