what to do

Ezra felt pretty out of place at Sarah's parents, but Casey and his wife were there, and he watched everyone open presents. As it was, he hadn't really Christmas shopped. He guessed if he had, he should have really gotten Sarah a present.

She gave him face wash and shaving cream. She really wanted him to take care of that face of his.

"You need to shave more." She informed him. He only grinned, thinking it funny. Why would she say that? He thought on it most of the night after he got home. But then he fell a slept with the light on in his bedroom. He guessed the Christmas program took a lot out of him. After all, he'd played the trumpet, the trombone and the tuba. And there were the bells. The most important part. And now he had shaving cream to ponder over.

The house was quiet. Spencer was off on his holiday with Noah. But Sage wasn't in her room. Ezra couldn't imagine her going off with Declan even if he were sweet on her. Ezra needed her for a sounding board of sorts. Was he too hairy?

He loved his stubble. It was manly. Why was Sarah so against it? Ezra finally managed upstairs, thinking he smelled coffee. Perhaps, Sage and Gage were going to work. He'd lucked out. The library was closed.

Yes, he needed to talk to Sage, she was like the little sister he never had. And, her advice was usually sensible. But he heard giggling instead. He didn't know where it was coming from. But the coffee was brewing. He went to get himself some.

It sounded like Gage was having a laugh in his room. Yet suddenly things were still. So was Ezra, who wondered what was going on? What would Sage think if she knew? Ezra winced hard, wondering if he could keep this to himself.

He went to pour some milk in his coffee and took him a seat at the dining table as he watched the hallway. Could he ignore this?

The door flew open from Gage's room and he saw someone from behind in Gage's shirt. He managed to see a leg. And the hair. Such long hair. Ezra spewed his coffee when he figured out who it was.
