"So do you want to help?" Lucy asked for Fergie's assistance when it came time for the show. Of course, she wasn't so sure if the band practiced enough. She knew Todd always liked to wing it.
She just hoped they had enough screaming high school girl fans and the boys would follow. Maybe start a riot. As if that would happen.
At least, Sarah's Mom was going to keep Lux the day before the show and that night so she could at least get ready with what she wanted to sell at the show.
Of course, it was only a few bucks at the door. Where the money came was from the CD and Tee shirts. And she had cool new Tees, some in pink camouflage that read FREAKNOID ARMY. She hoped it caught on. She'd had a few twitters of interest. She did her best to get the word out. She had Ali getting the word out on the radio. Although, nobody really listened to the radio like they used too. It wasn't easy getting everyone excited about this.
"What do I have to do?" Fergie asked as she rubbed her tummy.
"You sure you should even be here?" Lucy questioned. She looked as if she were about to burst. "How far along are you?"
She promised she had another month to go. Maybe 2.
"You don't know?" Lucy winced, thinking the arrival of a new baby might be sooner than anyone imagined. She didn't want to say it, but she had a certain instinct about these things.
Naturally, Fergie gave a shrug as if it didn't really interest her.
"Well, if you're up to it, sitting with me and the goods would be great." Lucy told her. "But you might not be able to see Trevor, you know."
She gave a deep sigh. Evidently he wasn't giving her enough attention lately between the band practices, work and getting ready for school.
"Aye, don't be so down." Lucy gave her a pat on the back.
But Fergie was worried about baby fat and how nothing was going to be like it used to be.
"You need to embrace it. That's the only way to go on with this." Lucy advised. She was certain of it now. There might be a baby born at the show. Wouldn't that make lovely headlines?
