Lucy hoped Todd didn't get in an argument with Craig. It was easy to see why he was here. As she watched him with the baby, she knew he'd changed. She knew they should give him a chance.
Of course, Craig didn't get to see the baby long. Sarah's Mom saw to that. Also Jake was a little fussy, and Lucy could see Craig hated the fact that he'd made him cry.
"I bet your hungry." She took his hand and pulled him out of the situation before anyone could put him on the spot.
He didn't say a word as if he knew he shouldn't be here.
"We'll get you some food, and you can come upstairs. Rest, OK?" She looked up at him. "You and Todd can talk."
But she knew it wouldn't be right away, Todd was out gabbing, mostly with the guys in the band. She knew any second they might break out in song. And they did while she was gathering some food for Craig.
This was the last thing she ever expected to do, babysit Todd's brother. Ali brought over Lux.
"You want to hold her?" Ali asked Craig.
"You need all the practice you can get." Lucy told him. She looked over at Lux then. "Meet your Uncle Craig."
Ali handed the long legged toddler over to Craig. Lucy lead the way upstairs, and Craig followed, carrying Lux.
