"I don't think they'll miss us," Manny said to Em about the baby shower for Allie.
"It would get loud." Spence agreed with a wince as he was getting the kitchen cleaned up while the rest were getting situated to watch Undeclared on Netflix. Some downtime. Finally.
Angie was cuddling between Manny and Em. At the moment they were watching a Dora DVD with her before they put her to bed.
"I just bet they wished they'd dropped off that newborn here." Spencer shook his head. Some people would never learn. Guys like Casey and Benny along with Todd always got into loud discussions. Spencer didn't really miss it.
Besides, he was feeling a little blue. Although, he couldn't say what it was specifically. It might have just been the weather. Still, he was happy to have people in the house and not be alone. He didn't dare want to imagine what he might get himself into.
Funny, he could feel so normal, maybe even for years and then suddenly feel so low and miserable. But he had his job and people he considered family in his life. It was times like these he was thankful and knew it was best to keep calm.
Just as he was wiping down the counter and possibly thinking he could open his kitchen up for business the next day, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." He didn't see the need of anyone else getting to the door since he was up. Of course, he didn't have a clue who it could be. It was practically dark out and oh so, miserably cold. Winter wasn't exactly leaving so spring could warm things up with so much snow on the ground.
It was Connor.
"How did you find the place?" Spence was caught off guard, but a smile slipped. He wasn't expecting to ever hear from Connor.
"Goggled it. Of course." He shrugged with a smirk and came in as if it were no big deal.
"Of course." Spencer wasn't nearly as confident as Connor's swagger, but he introduced him to Manny and Em.
Spencer offered him a seat in the livingroom. He wasn't sure if he even wanted to be alone with Connor. Spencer definitely wasn't going to leave their planned TV watching. After all, Undeclared was one of his favorite shows.
