Honestly, Benny was ready to pull his hair out. He was nursing on a pop sucker, pacing behind the counter just in his flip-flops and cargo shorts and stripped T. Of course, did anyone care the trouble he went to, to look nice.
Of course, not. Just nerds at the comic book place.
He wanted to sob, and he would have if he weren't working. He'd fucked it up big time with Ka-Rad. Was that the worst kiss ever? He supposed. And the belching. What the fuck? He was miserable. He seriously wanted a do-over with Ka-Rad. But how?
"I seriously doubt, he noticed." Spencer was so sullen. He was there. Spencer saw everything.
"Shut up." Benny scowled. This was between he and Ka-Rad. Not the third wheel Spencer who was everywhere, Benny went. "Enough already! Just go away! Will you?" God, he couldn't stand that kid. And he'd always be a kid to Benny as far as he was concerned, even if he were only 2 years older than Spencer. They were just accidently friends. Didn't Spencer have any other friends?
He so wanted to ask Ka-Rad out, but he was pretty sure he hadn't a clue what to do since he'd never really gone on a date. And what could he say, "Could you just leave the dresses at home. I like you as a guy, best."
Ka-Rad had been so pretty last night. Cool. Totally cool. He'd enjoyed the weed with him. Everything had been so relaxed, and Ka-Rad was amazingly beautiful in those low riding jeans of his. Thank God, Benny hadn't farted in front of him. Belching was enough...now wasn't it?
Benny felt so miserable. He'd been so close to making things so right with Ka-Rad. Now he was back to square one.
