"I don't like the looks of this." Lucy went to find Casey. She had her lunch box of money with her from the T-shirt sales. The CDs that she had left from their EP, so long ago from a local record company had sold out. She had only a hand full of T's left. She was wearing an extra large with leggins.
"What do you mean?" Casey was sweating under the lights. He was downing a bottle of water.
"That girl that Sarah keeps eyeing. She's gonna get hurt, Case." Lucy informed him.
"She's a big girl." Casey scanned the audience the best he could. He didn't see her anywhere.
"But she's on the rebound." Lucy knew this. Sarah saw her dancing with the girl who looked like she could start her own army if she chose too.
"I guess she'll have to bounce back hard then." He wasn't exactly making sense. Of course, he did have another set of songs to do. She went to find Cory then who was taking a rest in the back in a lawn chair.
"What's the matter?" He looked up at her as if he'd been meditating. She got in his lap and hugged him. Told him she hated Halloween and all the stupid costumes.
"Hey, we'll be out of here in a couple of hours." He just smiled.
"Sarah has it bad for the motorcycle chick." Lucy sighed. She knew no one would do a thing about it. Lucy knew she couldn't. Not in her condition. No way was she going to start a girl fight.
