its not a surprise

"Just let me take care of it." Keith kept calm, but the more he listened to the run-around the insurance people were giving Spencer... the more unsettling it became. "Stay here, tonight."

"No." Spencer squinted hard. "I can't. It wouldn't look right. I have to be there. It is my place." But he looked so tired.

"You can't get any rest there, with an infant in the next room." Keith assured him as he went to guide his brother to the couch. "Take a load off. You don't need to bother with all those people at your house."

Keith was fed up with the whole bunch.

"What have they ever done for you?" Keith wanted to know as he got Spencer resting.

"Well, my clothes are always clean, and ..and Sage, she's really good, getting everyone to keep the place, picked up. The bathroom looks really nice." Spencer shrugged.

Keith rolled his eyes at that.

"Plus, they do pay to live there." Spencer crossed his arms.

"Have you talked to Noah about any of this?" Keith set in the chair he did all his TV watching and reading in. The big leather seat.

"Sort of." Spencer remained even lipped. "I dunno what to do. You know, on one hand, its good to be there with a houseful. I always wanted a houseful. I did. Growing up, it was just me and Gran. Then it would be just Noah and me..and..and.."

"I dunno why you aren't with Noah, right now." Keith shook his head. He didn't understand it.

"Not just yet." Spencer shrugged. "I can't get a hold of him, anyhow. It can't be my phone." He sighed. "Look, I don't want him thinking I can't take care of anything. I need to get this taken care of." Spencer looked as if he might be sick. "I might be in complete debt, before its over with. I can't do that to Noah. I just can't."
