moving on

"You might need a month or two, to clear this place out." Declan shook his head. Of course, River was busy with his college students and their papers so he was a no show. He couldn't see River getting into this mess. He'd be sneezing and probably out of commission in no time.

It was Sage who was the tough one. She'd dragged out all sorts of magazines and newspapers. They were old. He started putting boxes into the bed of his old truck. A vacuum was in full throttle somewhere. She had Trevor busy with lifting too.

"We've got a weekend." She informed him as if she needed to have it all done yesterday.

"So, do you think you'll paint any?" Declan asked.

"I want too, just don't have the money for it." She shrugged as her chestnut hair was coming out of its thick braid.

"I have some left over paint, from when River and I spruced up ..our room." He looked at her wide eyes wondering if he'd said too much.

"Sure," she said. "Bring it over."

Declan smiled, thinking she was a force of nature. He doubted she ever got sick.

She sneezed then.

"Bless you," he said with a quick smile. She smiled back

"You tell River, we might need some sandwiches. If he's got time." She didn't even ask if he would.

"I'll let him know." Declan held in a laugh. He went back to work. He was pretty sure River could spare a little time to paint a room.
